How to choose fingerprint vs keypad locks for rental apartments

Apartment and short-term rental operators rarely need the most feature-heavy lock on the market. They need hardware that installs on common door types, supports guest turnover, and keeps support tickets low. The first assortment decision is often fingerprint versus keypad (or a hybrid that does both).
Start with how guests and tenants actually enter. Short-stay rentals and hotels usually rely on time-limited codes or app keys that staff can issue and revoke without collecting physical keys. Long-term apartments may prefer fingerprints for residents plus a keypad backup for cleaners, contractors, and forgotten phones.
